River pebbles floorings are an historical tradition of our cities. Pebbles are a nature resource: in vernacular language it is called “cogolo” and flooring made with them are called “saliso”.
These surfaces are realized by laying down pebbles over a proper substratum. There are different lay down modes and exist different coluors and size of “cogoli”. Realizing these floorings is very difficult if you do not have the right material, of the right size and colour.

Salizzo dè Cogoli® size refers to a pebble which has been layed down on its oval side. The final effect will be different depending on the lay-down mode you choose.
Different lay-down modes depend mainly on the product you wish to use: Salizzo CLASSICO and Salizzo PLANVM can be layed down both on sand or sand and binder. The first one can be set out both in the traditional way (on its oval side) and in flat style, whilst Salizzo PLANVM can be set out in a flat style only (flat lay-down is more comfortable because there are no asperities). Salizzo NATURAE is layed down in a traditional way on sand and binder, whilst Salizzo Musivae is layed down on adhesive, like common tile or mosaic.
